Montgomery County Intermediate Unit

Education Foundation

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Education Foundation (MCIUEF) is a broad-based, non-profit community organization, whose exclusive educational and charitable purposes are to provide programs, projects, and services to benefit the children of Montgomery County. We proudly support children of all ages with diverse needs.

Summer
Camperships

Through our Summer Campership Program, we offer financial assistance to Montgomery County public school students with an active IEP or 504 plan, empowering them to attend the summer camp of their choice. These scholarships help ensure that every student has access to enriching experiences that build confidence, independence, and lifelong memories. By breaking down financial barriers, we strive to create a more inclusive and supportive community where all students can explore their interests and reach their full potential.

Post-Secondary
Scholarships

Through our Post-Secondary Scholarship Program, we provide financial assistance to Montgomery County public school graduating seniors with an active IEP who are receiving special education support services. Eligible students from high schools, vocational-technical schools, PDE-approved private schools, and nontraditional public school settings are encouraged to apply. These scholarships help open doors to further education, training, and career opportunities, ensuring that every student has the support they need to achieve their goals and build a bright future.

Classroom and Student
Support Grants

Through our Classroom and Student Support Grants, we provide teachers with technology and materials that enhance instruction and create new opportunities for students. We also support MCIU programs, such as the Transition Program, which received funding for uniforms for students working in Barista Buddies, our in-house coffee and baked goods shop. On a broader scale, the Foundation proudly funds scholastic competitions. Over the past 20 years, the MCIU Education Foundation has awarded more than $340,000 in grants and scholarships, helping to inspire and empower students across Montgomery County.
