The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Education Foundation (MCIUEF) invites Montgomery County public school parents of school-age students with special needs to apply for the summer camp scholarships. Eligible applicants are children and youth with special needs with an active special education individualized educational plan (IEP) and the children must be eligible for “free or reduced price meals” from the resident school district.
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Education Foundation grant program awards scholarships to public school students in the form of tuition grants to permit the student to further develop and thrive in the post-secondary environment and to successfully enter and compete in the labor force upon graduation from trade schools, apprenticeship programs, community colleges or universities. The Foundation invites Montgomery County public school students with special needs with a current and active special education individualized educational plan (IEP) and who is a graduating senior who participated in special education supports services this school year from a Montgomery County high school/vocational-technical school, PDE approved private school, or “nontraditional” public school settings to apply.
Your contributions will help provide enhanced educational opportunities to Montgomery County students.
Over the past 18 years, the Foundation has been able to respond with over $350,000 in grant awards, assisting more than 2,600 Montgomery County students through summer camperships and college/university scholarships, as well as supporting MCIU programs and services, such as the popular Reading Olympics. The MCIU Education Foundation would like to thank our generous sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who make this event a tremendous success!
